Brazil may be going through a complicated political and economic period but it continues to be a business powerhouse. Despite being hit hard by the pandemic, Latin America’s largest economy is rebounding.

Strategic economic sectors, including agribusiness, transport and financial services, have been quickly recovering and the start-up and innovation ecosystem is flourishing, with the country now boasting more than 20 unicorns. The private sector is stepping up its commitments to sustainability and playing and active role in keeping Brazil on track towards decarbonization. On top of this, Brazil is progressing an ambitious investment agenda to attract private investment in infrastructure. These are all signs of bright spots amidst the country’s political uncertainty, shockwaves from the war in Ukraine and an economy that still needs to gain momentum post-COVID-19.

At this critical juncture, recovery from the pandemic presents a unique occasion to rethink and reset priorities to build back better, constructing a strong, resilient and sustainable future.

    • Will Brazil take this path and finally unlock its enormous potential?
    • What role is the private sector set to play in the rebuild?
    • Where will the most promising investment opportunities be?
    • What will be the impact of the surge of energy and commodity prices as a result of the conflict in Ukraine?

This half day event will bring together senior government officials, top economists, financiers and business leaders to discuss Brazil’s economic and business environment and the role of the private sector as the engine of growth post-pandemic.
