Brazil Summit
Brazil, the 10th largest economy in the world and the largest in Latin America, faces several challenges on its path to sustainable growth. The country is a global force in mining, agriculture, and manufacturing, while also holding a critical position in energy and climate matters. As a leader in renewable energy—particularly in biofuels and hydropower—Brazil is broadening its focus to include green hydrogen, wind, and solar energy. It aims to leverage its natural resources to become a major global provider of low-emission industrial products and nature-based solutions. As it assumes the G20 presidency in 2024 and host COP 30 in 2025, key questions arise: How is the country positioning itself to lead global climate initiatives, and is it on course to meet its green economy ambitions? Are government policies and legal frameworks evolving to support this, and is Brazil fully harnessing its competitive advantages?
The Financial Times is pleased to host its fourth annual Brazil Summit, which will offer a comprehensive look at the latest business, political, and economic developments shaping the country. Brazilian and international CEOs, thought leaders, government officials, and financiers will provide their insights into Brazil’s role in global climate action and the green economy. Discussions will also cover Brazil’s broader global influence, including its contributions to culture, sports, tourism, and heritage.
